Dr. Misti Whitehead joins the Integration Therapy healing collective from New Mexico with over 15 years of experience in Oriental Medicine.

Ms. Whitehead studied under the internationally honored, Dr. Suzanne Yang, Ph.D., and is one of only 2 direct students to be mentored by Dr. Cheng Xing-nong who is the compiler and editor of the worldwide standard on Acupuncture texts. While in China, Misti studied and worked with top doctors in the fields of diabetes, gynecology, and classical herbology.

In 2008, Misti graduated from AOMA Graduate School of Oriental Medicine in Austin, Texas which is one of the top 5 schools in the United States for Oriental Medicine. She expanded her education with two internships at the Chengdu Teaching Hospital in Chengdu, China in 2003 and 2005. Misti is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is currently pursuing a certification in Functional Medicine.

One Misti's most treasured memories is practicing Tai Qi and Qi Gong with the Kung Fu coach of China’s Olympic Gold Medal team in the bamboo forest on Mount Emei Shan. When she's not in the forest she spends her time reading, enjoying her cats and dog, and traveling spontaneously. Most of all she enjoys time with her daughter Clarity and listening to her play guitar and ukulele.

Misti is the owner of Bamboo Acupuncture Clinic and offers massage and acupuncture services at Integration Therapy.
